duRose is often called upon for projects throughout HM Prison Service, including the manufacture and installation of safety netting.

Safety netting is installed as a measure to protect an individual should they fall from a prison balcony.

The safety netting at duRose has been tested to withstand the weight of two men falling onto it from a height of 3m and is used around the United Kingdom.

duRose engineers are experienced and qualified to carry out installations in a ‘live’ prison environment. This kind of project is carried out with minimal disruption to the established day-to-day routine of the prison and in accordance with the individual Prison Governors preferences.
